Met One Instruments Renewable Energy Products

Renewable energy is on the rise worldwide. Met One Instruments, Inc. offers stand-alone and networked sensors and systems to assist in the smooth operation of renewable energy systems. Solar farms, for example, require real time measurements of ambient temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, solar panel temperature (usually measured on the backside of the panel), and the incoming solar radiation twice, in the plane of the panel and parallel to the ground. Met One offers standard and custom integrated solutions to all these requirements. Panel output is a function of the air temperature, the panel temperature, panel cleanliness, and the incoming solar radiation. The rain and humidity can help inform operators if the panels are getting cleaned naturally or if they need to send personnel out to the site to clean them. Met One also offers weather sensors for wind energy site prospecting.
