Manufacturing facilities often need to monitor local weather conditions and airborne particulate matter for regulatory compliance, facility and worker safety and process control. In certain manufacturing processes, reducing the number of airborne particles is critical. Yields drop dramatically when components and processes interact with dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles, and trace moisture. To minimize defects and ensure consistent quality, Met One Instruments offers a range of portable and small footprint particle counters and mass monitors. These devices are used to monitor facility functions and assist in process control. They are often an essential element of manufacturing quality assurance and control programs.
We offer systems for monitoring wind speed and direction providing alarms when the wind exceeds limits that require action to modify or suspend operations. Our temperature and relative humidity sensors provide indoor and outdoor data to the facility PLC in operating where temperature and humidity affect operations. Rain is another factor that can affect operations and operational decisions, especially important at waste treatment facilities.
