Met One Instruments offers a line of monitors and particle counters that sample ambient air for air quality indicators not restricted to federal, state, or local regulations. These supplemental monitors provide localized data to fill in regulatory monitoring gaps. Data supplied by NSIM monitors can be used to identify and track specific particulate sources, such as dust, smoke, or exhaust emissions that may be impacting the air quality in a particular area. Met One Instruments, Inc.’s optical mass monitors are low-cost, high-value portable devices used in applications where indicative-level accuracy and precision are acceptable and where external power is not always available. These instruments may be used to supplement government-operated, criteria-grade air quality monitoring networks to provide additional monitoring locations. This can include places that cannot easily accommodate a fixed air quality monitoring station or one that does not currently exist, such as to support California AB 617. These instruments may also deploy as stand-alone devices for fenceline or emergency deployment monitoring applications.

Our criteria-approved air monitoring products sell worldwide. With this success came the development of Met One’s smaller, lower-cost air monitors. These are widely used as local area and industrial monitors. An essential requirement for these instruments is measurement stability—measurements made without temperature or long-term drift.
